The PMF

Here is The PMF at the Shades Lounge/Monroe Center in Hoboken. We played a fun, fast, and loud set for the Friday night folks. WJ & the Sweet Sacrifice kicked some ass too, and all the dudes from Ever Reviled Records performed some really cool shit. If you missed this one, we just booked a show at The Delancey on June 23rd and have another in the works for May. More on that to come.

Well, if you haven't figured it out by now, Wally Chung is no longer performing with the band. Along with Kirk, he founded Plowing Mud Forever and we thank him for all the hard work and energy he's put into the band over the years. We wish him well with all his future endeavors. Keep an eye on his website for hot Wally action.

Another website you'd better check out right fucking now is Torrential Downpour's homepage. They just finished up their debut LP. I heard some of it yesterday and it's heavier than a bowling ball on a beetle's back. If you know what's good for you, you'll buy it right now.

See you all at the cemetary gates.

PMF NEWS UPDATE

The first piece of news to share is that our Delancey show on April 29 has been canceled. Unmark that on your calendars, or mark that on your uncalendars. The choice is yours.

While you've got the pen out, scribble a tornado with a happy face trapped inside it on Saturday, May 30. We'll be playing a show with some friends of ours either in Brooklyn or the Lower East Side. Not sure where or what time yet. Obviously, you'll find that info out here first. This is prime time television here, folks.

Ok, on to the noise. We recorded a couple of our new songs last night. Here is "Mesmerado":

Oh that quality is just unacceptable. I'm sorry. Let's get a stage manager in here. I don't care where you find one. Get one out of another studio. Roll the next clip.

That was "Salesman" and yes, we know it's a distorted mess. Unfortunately, Kirk's really good stereo digital recorder is cursed with poor battery life, and my infinitely charged mp3 player has a horribly oversaturated microphone signal. We should change our name to Plowing the Magi Forever.

That's all for now. I'll try to post some pictures over the weekend whether Jessica Savitch likes it or not.

Rollie and Wally are killers!

What do big time rock stars like Rollie and Wally do when they're at a bar, ready to party?
They play Buck Hunter of course! Let's watch their killer instincts kick in, shall we?

Rollie and Wally get psyched up. Feel the adrenaline! Taste the manhood! Go Go Gadget Narcissism!
Photobucket

Priority #1 is entering in your clever initials so everybody knows how awesome you are when you get top score.
Photobucket

Pump those guns, boys! Pump them faster!
Photobucket

Yeah! Rollie and Wally nailed the fuck out of the large land-dwelling omnivore! Uh, whatever it is. Yak? Wildebeast? Bantha?
Photobucket

Look into the cold, steely, dead eyes of those killers. Did it just get colder in here?
Photobucket

But perhaps these guys aren't the emotionally detached animal assasins we thought they were. You let one live??? Bah! Mercy is for the weak.
Photobucket

Here's your chance to redeem yourselves, guys! Kill 'em all! Don't stop shooting until you make it all the way!
Photobucket

You made it! All the way to Goat Ham City!
Photobucket!

Good job, Rollie and Wally. Now you can kill goats and hams to your hearts' content. Well done, you killing machines. Now go write some new songs.

Working Hard Forever

We've got a new show booked for the end of the month. There may be some surprises.

Wednesday, April 29th @ The Delancey
21+ / $7 / 7:30pm
10pm Plowing Mud Forever
9pm The Last Broadcast
8pm Exemption

To prep for this show, we's be's working real hard lately on getting y'all's some new's ong's. I recorded some of them at practice last night but I found out this morning that the quality blows, so I won't be posting them. Instead, I will describe them with WORDZ.

"Mesmerado" - A Krazy Kirk tune that covers a lot of ground in just a few minutes. It hits 11 out of 12 major chords (sorry, E), but still manages to sound cohesive. There's a pretty chorus too. It's Bunglesque, Kiss-y, and Queens of the Stone Age-like, with a dash of Electric Sports Bra.

"Especially Heinous" - Think of it as the next saga in the "Cop Killer" story. The song is from the perspective of Ice-T, but at a different stage in his life. Is that good or bad? I'm not sure yet. Find out during the Dillinger Escape Plan breakdown.

"Salesman" - Ryan and I wrote the skeleton of this forever ago when he was playing with his cousin's V-Drums and I was dicking around on guitar. Who knew that we'd eventually be in a band that would allow us to replicate this configuration? Anyway, the song is 6 years better now, and has some exciting time changes. Wally claims it sounds like Saigon Kick meets Hum. The title may change to "Sales, Man" or possibly "Hum, Yes! Saigon Kick, No!"

Also, this may be up our sleeves (or as it were, behind our mustaches):
