You'll also be missing some teeth next time we see you!

One week from today...

...we'll be playing a holiday show at our Hoboken practice space with lots and lots of special guests.

Warming things up is our good friend Andy Fuckin' Meagher. He's in town for his final senior recital before officially becoming a Doctor of Organs (pipe organs, that is), and will be showing off some of skills for us. If we're good boys and girls, we'll get to hear a good mix of classical tunes, holiday music, and gangsta rap!

Next up is the funniest man not in show business, the best music critic in history, and the greatest criminal mind of our time, Mark Prindle. He's bringing his wife Brenda, and drummer Jimmy Laakso and assist with the fancy rock stylings and nimble jump kicks. Just like the Rockettes!

Then it's the 1-2 punch from the most hated bands in Hudson County, Plowing Mud Forever and Torrential Downpour. Actually it will less of a 1-2 punch and more of a 3/4 or 7/8 time signature. Because we're outlaws!

Also performing all night will be BEER! Drink it! Norm's doing the lights so you can see the BEER! Here's a flyer! IT'S SO EXTREME THAT IT'S MORE THAN WORDS!!!!!!!!

Connoisseurs of Mammary Glands

I can't say this definitively yet, but it's looks like Plowing Mud Forever will probably be playing an afternoon show on Saturday, September 12th, quite possibly at Automata Chino in Jersey City, and if this happens it will most likely be part of a benefit to raise money for the American Breast Cancer Foundation. When we have official confirmation we will give the rest of the details.

I can say with 100% confidence that Plowing Mud Forever will be playing this Saturday night at Ace of Club, in NYC.

Ace of Clubs - 9 Great Jones St. NYC - doors at 7pm - 21+ - $10

8pm - Open Denile
9pm- Plowing Mud Forever
10pm - Scalera
11pm - Knife the Glitter
12am - Torrential Downpour

Thing-Things

It's vacation time for most of this hemisphere, so Plowing Mud Forever has(s)holed themselves up in the studio with a colony of termites to continue working on new songs and brushing up on old new songs. Coming down the pike we've got:

"The Night Report" - The sequel to "Sitcom." In this song, Kirk is actually sent back in time to protect you, not kill you. It is also revealed that Ryan is your father and Rollie will finally defeat Apollo Creed. Does that Smeel Mainly? Musically, I can't even begin to describe what is happening in this song. What if Mastodon eats a Jesus Lizard that is snacking on a Blue Oyster? Cult hit? You betcha!

"The Cliff" - A haunting little ditty that could end up being the simplest, pussiest PMF song ever! It's only got 4 different parts! And no screaming! What if Jimmy Eats the World? Would he Hum? Yeah Yeah Yeah!

"Untitled" - Kirk's still going through titles and lyrics on this one, so I don't know what it's going to be about. I can tell you that the intro is long and calm, but then the rest of the song lunges out from the bushes and gnaws on your balls. I think there's a dog singing backup vocals, I'm not sure.

Elsewise, we've got another show with Torrential Downpour in a few weeks, but you already knew that because you've probably added the Plowing Mud Forever Live Calendar to your own Google Calendar. Right?

Ba yo yo yo yonne.

It's looking like a show is shaping up for Friday, June 12th. The Midnight Ghost Train is touring through the area so we'll be grabbing a slot on their Bayonne, NJ stop. Details on this sludgy, muddy massacre to follow.

PMF of the month club

So we've got a little calendar thingee over there in the side bar ------>

It's pretty ugly right now, but at least it's got a listing of our shows. You could always click on the PMF Calendar in the "Outsourced" section for a larger version. Better yet, add the calendar to your Google shit. The calendar's public.

We've got another tentative date scheduled Torrential Downpour in August. I just listened to their new album on Friday and out of nowhere, it started raining like a motherfucker. Second time that's happened to me listening to TD. Those boys must have control of the Weather Dominator.

Finalm3nt3, here's a few shots from the Automata Chino gig...

The PMF

Here is The PMF at the Shades Lounge/Monroe Center in Hoboken. We played a fun, fast, and loud set for the Friday night folks. WJ & the Sweet Sacrifice kicked some ass too, and all the dudes from Ever Reviled Records performed some really cool shit. If you missed this one, we just booked a show at The Delancey on June 23rd and have another in the works for May. More on that to come.

Well, if you haven't figured it out by now, Wally Chung is no longer performing with the band. Along with Kirk, he founded Plowing Mud Forever and we thank him for all the hard work and energy he's put into the band over the years. We wish him well with all his future endeavors. Keep an eye on his website for hot Wally action.

Another website you'd better check out right fucking now is Torrential Downpour's homepage. They just finished up their debut LP. I heard some of it yesterday and it's heavier than a bowling ball on a beetle's back. If you know what's good for you, you'll buy it right now.

See you all at the cemetary gates.

PMF NEWS UPDATE

The first piece of news to share is that our Delancey show on April 29 has been canceled. Unmark that on your calendars, or mark that on your uncalendars. The choice is yours.

While you've got the pen out, scribble a tornado with a happy face trapped inside it on Saturday, May 30. We'll be playing a show with some friends of ours either in Brooklyn or the Lower East Side. Not sure where or what time yet. Obviously, you'll find that info out here first. This is prime time television here, folks.

Ok, on to the noise. We recorded a couple of our new songs last night. Here is "Mesmerado":

Oh that quality is just unacceptable. I'm sorry. Let's get a stage manager in here. I don't care where you find one. Get one out of another studio. Roll the next clip.

Salesman04-09 by Plowing Mud Forever

That was "Salesman" and yes, we know it's a distorted mess. Unfortunately, Kirk's really good stereo digital recorder is cursed with poor battery life, and my infinitely charged mp3 player has a horribly oversaturated microphone signal. We should change our name to Plowing the Magi Forever.

That's all for now. I'll try to post some pictures over the weekend whether Jessica Savitch likes it or not.

Working Hard Forever

We've got a new show booked for the end of the month. There may be some surprises.

Wednesday, April 29th @ The Delancey
21+ / $7 / 7:30pm
10pm Plowing Mud Forever
9pm The Last Broadcast
8pm Exemption

To prep for this show, we's be's working real hard lately on getting y'all's some new's ong's. I recorded some of them at practice last night but I found out this morning that the quality blows, so I won't be posting them. Instead, I will describe them with WORDZ.

"Mesmerado" - A Krazy Kirk tune that covers a lot of ground in just a few minutes. It hits 11 out of 12 major chords (sorry, E), but still manages to sound cohesive. There's a pretty chorus too. It's Bunglesque, Kiss-y, and Queens of the Stone Age-like, with a dash of Electric Sports Bra.

"Especially Heinous" - Think of it as the next saga in the "Cop Killer" story. The song is from the perspective of Ice-T, but at a different stage in his life. Is that good or bad? I'm not sure yet. Find out during the Dillinger Escape Plan breakdown.

"Salesman" - Ryan and I wrote the skeleton of this forever ago when he was playing with his cousin's V-Drums and I was dicking around on guitar. Who knew that we'd eventually be in a band that would allow us to replicate this configuration? Anyway, the song is 6 years better now, and has some exciting time changes. Wally claims it sounds like Saigon Kick meets Hum. The title may change to "Sales, Man" or possibly "Hum, Yes! Saigon Kick, No!"

Also, this may be up our sleeves (or as it were, behind our mustaches):

Affirming PMF's committment to metal

PMF will be giving away a used 3mm allen wrench to the first 12 people that come to see them at Automata Chino on Saturday night. The rest of you will have to settle for the metal on stage.

Don't say we never did anything for ya'.

Jersey City Date Confirmed

We've got a gig coming up on Saturday 3/14 (PI DAY!) at Automata Chino in Jersey City. This brand new music venue is located at 99 Greene Street and is adjacent to the Iron Monkey. Doors open at 8 and the fucking awesome dudes in the fucking awesome band Torrential Downpour will be joining us on the bill. Holy sheep shit!

Zac's Blog

Here's the link to Zac Clark's blog with photos and video from our show at Babyhole last week. While we're on the subject of Jersey City, we can now confirm the date for our Groove on Grove session: July 8th. This should be a hot, sweaty, long, awesome, outdoor set. Oh, also free and very easy to get to. You just walk up the stairs (or stand still on the escalator) at the Grove St. PATH station and we'll be right there making sounds at you. RIGHT AT YOUR FACE.

We're currently setting up a couple more shows for March and April and getting together a lot of new material. I finally found the adapter for my mp3 player, so I can start posting audio clips up here on the site more frequently. Look for some new noise soon, son.

PMF Live 1/20/09

Plowing Mud Forever returns to the Trash Bar stage in Brooklyn for the first time since 2006. For those of you who didn't get an invitation from President Obama, party with us instead. This will be the better of the two Inaugural Balls anyway.

TWO BALLS ARE COMING AFTER YOU!
